These are known as DMAIC and DMADV, where DMAIC is acronym for Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control and DMADV is acronym for Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, and Verify. While DMADM verifies new processes or products that are striving to achieve Six Sigma process, DMAIC is meant to control existing products or processes that have already achieved Six Sigma certification.

Professionals can take up Six Sigma training to acquire Six Sigma certification. There are many institutes that run Six Sigma program for professionals. Six Sigma online training is also available where professionals can learn the subject at their own flexible timing. Institutes like American Society for Quality Control award six sigma certifications. A Six Sigma certification helps to get a better job, better salary, and adds value to a professional’s resume.
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
A Six Sigma Green Belt certified professional should have at least three years of work experience with in depth knowledge of Six Sigma tools and processes. Six Sigma Green Belt operates under the leadership of Six Sigma Black Belt professionals.
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Six Sigma black belt training helps a professional to understand all the six sigma processes and tools, plus the professional is also expected to show leadership and delegate roles and responsibilities to team members.
Six Sigma Master Black Belt are professionals who impart training and guidance to green belts and black belts. The person can also work as the company’s chief Six Sigma technologist as well as internal consultant.
Six Sigma is a worldwide popular concept and is a new way to do business. The main goal of this approach is to element defects from a service or a product.
